Pray for Galveston/Houston! Knowing God's Presence This Sunday!

Dear Friends, Intercessors and Zion Aligned:

We are in prayer for the Galveston/Houston area right now. This area is such an integral part of my life that I prophesy often to the area. As Pam and I sit here early and visit and pray, she reminded me of a book that she read about the most disastrous storm that ever hit our nation. In the early 1900’s, Galveston was devastated by a storm that was pretty much ignored by the meteorologists. The book she read about this storm was called Isaac’s Storm, named after the meteorologist who ignored the signs of the approaching storm. This hurricane approaching is called IKE. I believe many in Houston take the word of God very seriously and watch the signs of the time. Let’s pray for the people of this area of the nation.

Hurricane Ike approaches; this is a season of coming full circle. Now the signs are difficult to disregard. Earlier this year, I gave a word while I was ministering in Houston for them to get ready: "In this year of gates, water was coming to the gates of the city!" I saw water lapping at the gates and began to yell this, prophetically. Right now, decree that people will withstand the flood; go in and call to those who are hunkering down in the storm, “We are declaring that the floods will not overtake you!” When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you (Is. 43:2, Amplified).

Here are a couple of other words from the past that are appropriate today:

"Houston is a target for the enemy because you are a great city, a great port, a great city for revival, a great city for commerce. You are like Tyre in the Bible. There is a crisis coming toward Houston that will move the city into a different dimension of God's presence." …"Houston is going to be a place where My angels are flooding in this year. They are going to flood in, and come in through every gate…My angels are coming in through the port areas of Houston…I am ready for the angels to come in. I have chosen Houston as the port city where I will rest My presence in the midst of a strange happening in this nation. I will cause My presence to be established in this city. I will cause enemies of My Spirit who have resisted My presence in the past to welcome My presence…I'm going to shake Galveston in a way that it has not been shaken since the beginning of the last century…this is a time for Me to come full circle… Galveston will begin to run forward into My presence in Houston…that which is resisting My presence in Galveston will be overtaken. I am raising up the Body in Houston to receive an outpouring of My presence. As I flood, the people of Galveston to Houston, I will return them with a flood of My presence.

Faith is now your guide. For faith will explode in the very hearts of this city and ten surrounding smaller cities of this area. This will be a faith explosion that will begin to occur because victory has entered Houston and you have gathered to receive a new anointing of grace. Walk forth with Me from this place, for I am dressing you in victory. You are turning upward. And although you do not know where this updraft will take you, ride the wind with Me!”

FINALES AND FUTURES (Braving Storms' Waves). Very seldom do I hear something that produces an emotional release like this song. However, it also releases a sound of sustaining strength in the midst of the waves of change that are being produced by the storms of life at this time. When I listened to this song, I said, "Lord, put this deep in my spirit so I can get to the end of my journey this hour."

This Sunday at Glory of Zion Outreach Center (September 14)
I am looking forward to this Sunday at Glory of Zion. We will begin with corporate prayer in the sanctuary at 8 AM. I will be leading this time when we will intercede and bring forth the new sound in worship. At 9 AM we shift to “The Power of Lift.” This is a dynamic time when we ascend in worship and descend in war. Karen Vaughn will be ministering at this service on “Knowing the God of your Promise”. During our “Power of Use” service, we will move back into worship followed by Robert Heidler teaching on “Embrace His Presence: Understanding Jehovah Shammah”. Also, don’t forget the course that Al Lookabaugh is teaching on Sunday afternoon at 2 PM on Creationism.

September Issachar School Course (September 29)
On Monday, September 29 we will host another unique Issachar School Course: Becoming Harvest Watchmen - Understanding and Prevailing in the Prayer Watch. I know many of you are responding to the call to pray during the Midnight Watch this month. Robert Heidler and I will be teaching on how to understand the prayer watches as well as learn how to break through in each of the four night watches. The classroom teaching will be from 9:30 AM till around 8 PM (with lunch and dinner breaks). Then, beginning at 9 PM, we will actually have teams in place to lead the midnight, breaking of the day (cockcrowing) and morning prayer watches. Students will select one or more watches to join as part of their course credit.
